Soror Alanna Hicks-King is a dedicated Delta leader with more than 34 years of service in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Initiated through the Zeta Psi Chapter at the University of Georgia in 1992, she is a member of the Decatur (GA) Alumnae Chapter. Her leadership roles have included Chapter President, First Vice President, Risk Management Trainer, Chair, Membership Intake Committee, Georgia Facilitator for the Delta P.E.A.R.L. Program, and member of the Southern Region Investigations Management Team.
As Chapter President, she led more than 350 members, expanded community outreach, established the Decatur Alumnae Chapter Leadership Academy, and helped the chapter earn numerous honors and awards. Her commitment to sisterhood, service, and leadership continues to inspire future Delta leaders.
Professionally, she serves as Workforce Development Manager and is a retired State of Georgia leader with more than 30 years of experience in social services, workforce development, and public service.
